2027 Presidency: ADC Confident of Winning — State Chairman

The Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, Alhaji Yinka Olona, has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is “dead” and no longer viable as a political force in the country.

Alhaji Olona made the assertion in Ibadan on Wednesday while speaking with our correspondent. He insisted that the ADC is poised to produce Nigeria’s next president in 2027.

According to the Oyo ADC chairman, “Can’t you see the show of shame ravaging the PDP? Their leadership has repeatedly refused to obey court orders. One faction is either suspending or expelling the other. It is a complete show of shame.”

He added that any political party that fails to respect court rulings cannot claim to be credible. “Unless we want to deceive ourselves, the PDP is gone. Once a court delivers judgment or issues a ruling, it is mandatory for any reasonable political party to comply. But what did we see in the PDP? It is unfortunate,” he said.

Olona also recalled the activities of the G5 governors during the 2023 election, accusing them of betraying their party. “They worked against their own presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and gave backing to the APC. That was how the current President, Bola Tinubu, emerged victorious. They ruined the PDP, yet they think they can remove Tinubu now. That is not possible, and we are happy about it,” he stated.

The ADC leader said the party is expanding daily as Nigerians seek a genuine alternative for change. “By 2027, Nigerians are waiting for us. The people are tired of the APC—the economic hardship, the worsening security situation, and the loss of innocent lives. Our children graduate with no jobs, and living conditions are no longer bearable. We cannot continue like this.”

He urged Nigerians to join the ADC through its ongoing registration process and prepare to use their votes to remove President Bola Tinubu from office at the appropriate time.
