CDCFIB Postpones Recruitment Process, Issues Update to Applicants


The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced a postponement of its portal opening for shortlisted candidates’ screening and document verification for the 2025 recruitment exercise.

Initially scheduled to hold from December 1–3, 2025, the board has not provided a new date. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official recruitment portal at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng for updates.

The recruitment exercise spans positions in the Immigration Service, Correctional Service, Fire Service, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Applicants are urged to remain patient and avoid unofficial sources to prevent misinformation.

The Nigerian Army has officially commenced applications for its Short Service Combatant Commission (SSC) Course 49/2026, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply and serve as commissioned officers . The recruitment, which began on October 9, 2025, will close on November 12, 2025, and is open to both serving military personnel and eligible civilians who meet the required qualifications. Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, aged between 23 and 27 years as of January 9, 2026.
