MAKINDE AFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO EFFICIENT PUBLIC SERVICE
Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has continued to demonstrate his commitment to strengthening all sectors of the civil and public service with the approval of the recruitment of 100 personnel into the Oyo State Fire Services Agency.
This development was disclosed by the Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamoru Aderibigbe following the Governor’s approval for the release of appointment letters to the newly recruited officers.
Alhaji Aderibigbe said the recruitment exercise is unprecedented in the history of Oyo state, noting that it is the first time such a large number of personnel has been absorbed into the Fire Services Agency since the creation of the State.
The chairman stated that the recruitment would significantly enhance the Oyo state security and emergency response architecture, with particular impact on the Fire Service Department at the newly upgraded Ladoke Akintola International Airport, which has recently commenced operations.
He commended Governor Makinde for his proactive approach to fire safety and for empowering capable and able-bodied youths with the mental and physical capacity required for effective service delivery.
He added that the appointments of the newly recruited Fire Superintendents and Fire Officers would take effect from January 1, 2026.
