Osun 2026: Bamigbola Emerges as Factional Accord Party Governorship Candidate

The Authentic Accord Party has officially produced Clement Bamigbola as its governorship candidate for the 2026 Osun State election. Bamigbola emerged unopposed and was unanimously affirmed as the party’s flagbearer at the governorship primary held on Sunday in Osogbo, the state capital.

The primary election was closely monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), lending credibility to the process and confirming the party’s adherence to electoral guidelines. Party members described the exercise as peaceful, transparent, and a reflection of internal unity within the Authentic Accord Party.

It is important to note that Senator Ademola Adeleke had earlier been declared the main Accord Party governorship candidate, making Bamigbola’s emergence representative of a factional contest within the party.

With this development, Clement Bamigbola now carries the mandate of the party’s faction as preparations ramp up for the 2026 governorship contest. Party leaders and supporters expressed confidence in his ability to offer a credible alternative and advance the Accord Party’s vision for Osun State.
