Nigerian Army Raids K+dnappers’ Hideout in Kaduna, Neutralises One

Troops of the Joint Task Force, Operation ENDURING PEACE (JTF OPEP), have raided a k+dnappers’ hideout in Kaduna State, neutralising one suspect during the operation.

The offensive was carried out on January 2, 2026, as part of Operation PEACE SHIELD, following credible intelligence on the activities of k+dnappers in Jagindi Kagom village, Jemaa Local Government Area of the state. 

Troops from Sector 7 stormed the identified hideout and engaged the criminals in a g¥n b%ttle.

According to the army, one of the suspects was k+lled during the encounter and later identified as Dahiru Adamu Barka, while other members of the gang fled the scene. Security forces are currently trailing the escaped suspects to ensure their arrest.

The General Officer Commanding 3 Division of the Nigerian Army and Commander of JTF Operation ENDURING PEACE, Major General EF Oyinlola, commended the troops for the successful operation. 

He said the ongoing offensive was aimed at eliminating all forms of criminality within the Joint Operations Area.

Oyinlola also called on law-abiding citizens to continue to support security agencies by providing timely and credible information that could aid ongoing operations.

He reaffirmed that JTF Operation ENDURING PEACE remains committed to sustaining pressure on criminal elements and ensuring the safety and security of residents across the area.
