Oyo PDP Deputy Treasurer, Hon Sunday Nicolas Olaoye Hails Senator Monsurat Sunmonu on Her Birthday


The Deputy Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Hon. Sunday Nicolas Olaoye, has extended warm birthday felicitations to Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, describing her as a trailblazer, seasoned lawmaker, and pride of Oyo State politics.

In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen on Thursday, Hon. Olaoye lauded Senator Sunmonu’s outstanding contributions to democratic governance, legislative excellence, and women’s inclusion in leadership.

He noted that Senator Sunmonu remains a towering political figure whose journey in public service continues to inspire many across Oyo State and beyond.

The PDP chieftain recalled her remarkable records as former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and later as a former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, saying her leadership style was defined by wisdom, courage, and commitment to the welfare of the people.

According to him, Senator Sunmonu’s political legacy, especially as one of the most respected female leaders from Oyo State, has continued to serve as a beacon of hope for the younger generation of politicians, particularly women aspiring for public office.

Hon. Sunday Nicolas Olaoye prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the former lawmaker, wishing her sound health, greater wisdom, and many more impactful years in service to humanity.

He further urged political leaders and stakeholders in the state to continue drawing from Senator Sunmonu’s wealth of experience in the collective quest for sustainable development and good governance.
