BREAKING: Makinde Announces Fresh Appointment
Governor Seyi Makinde has named former House of Representatives member, Hon. Busari Olayemi, as the new Director-General of the Abuja/Lagos Liaison Office.

The appointment, effective immediately, was confirmed Monday in a statement by the Chief of Staff, Otunba (Dr.) Segun Ogunwuyi.

Olayemi, who until now served as Executive Adviser on Intra-Party Affairs, steps into the role vacated by Mr. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, who resigned to pursue his political ambition. It marks a return to familiar terrain—Olayemi held the same position during Makinde's first term.

The Governor charged the reappointed DG to execute his mandate with unwavering commitment, loyalty, and diligence, advancing the state's interests across Abuja and Lagos.

The Liaison Office functions as Oyo State's strategic nerve centre beyond its borders—bridging federal institutions, stakeholders, development partners, and investors, while coordinating official engagements and administrative operations outside the state.

In a statement signed by Special Adviser (Media) Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Governor Makinde congratulated the former federal lawmaker and challenged him to justify the confidence reposed in him through dedicated service.
