The Digital Land Survey Plan Registry is a state-of-the-art platform designed to modernize the registration, management, verification, and spatial analysis of survey plans. By digitizing these critical processes, the platform will provide faster, more secure, transparent, and reliable services to licensed surveyors, land professionals, investors, government agencies, and the general public.
Speaking on the initiative, the Honourable Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Hon. The initiative will also provide accurate and reliable geospatial information to support sustainable development, urban planning, and evidence-based decision-making.
As part of the implementation process, the Office of the Surveyor-General commenced the training of 40 personnel who will acquire the technical skills required for the effective deployment and management of the Digital Land Survey Plan Registry. Participants were encouraged to demonstrate dedication, professionalism, and commitment throughout the programme, as they will play a crucial role in ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of the initiative.
Hon. He added that participants who successfully complete the training programme will be offered temporary employment opportunities to support the deployment and operation of the Digital Land Survey Plan Registry.
The Office of the Surveyor-General also appreciated the Federal School of Surveying, Oyo, for its invaluable technical support and collaboration, which have contributed immensely to the successful implementation of the project and strengthened local capacity for modern land administration.
