Toluwanisings: Family Announces Date for Service of Songs in Ibadan
The family of Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonle Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has announced October 27, 2026, for his night of tributes and service of songs, a week after his sudden death.
In a statement posted on the late singer’s social media page on Wednesday, the family said the event would hold at 3pm at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Ibadan, Oyo State.
“We invite you to join us for a Night of Tributes and Service of Songs in honour of our beloved brother, friend, and gospel minister, Olayemi Bayonle Bolaji, fondly known as Toluwanisings,” the statement read.
Toluwanisings died on October 14, 2026, hours after ministering at a praise concert organised by fellow gospel singer Bidemi Olaoba in Ibadan.
His death has triggered widespread reactions on social media, with celebrities and other Nigerians raising concerns about the state of the country’s healthcare system and the availability of emergency medical services.
According to his personal assistant, the singer reportedly slumped at his residence and died after being turned away by eight hospitals in Ibadan over a lack of emergency equipment.
The allegation has intensified public criticism of Nigeria’s healthcare system, with many Nigerians questioning why patients in need of urgent medical attention continue to face challenges accessing emergency care.
