Federal Cooperative College Provost, Dr. Ibrahim AbdulGaniyu, Honoured with National Outstanding Leadership Award by NAPS
The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has honored Dr. Ibrahim AbudulGaniyu, Provost of the Federal Cooperative College, Eleyele, Ibadan, Oyo State, with the prestigious National Outstanding Leadership Performance Award (NOLPA 2025).
The award was presented to Dr. AbudulGaniyu in recognition of his exemplary leadership, innovation, and creativity in driving sustainable development within the institution. According to NAPS, the Provost distinguished himself through his reliable leadership style and commitment to excellence in the management of the college in less than five months.
The citation on the award described the Provost as “an Outstanding Provost in Nigeria”, noting that his administration has introduced innovative and student friendly policies that have enhanced the quality of teaching, learning, and cooperative education in the college.
Speaking after receiving the award, Dr. AbudulGaniyu expressed appreciation to NAPS for the recognition, dedicating the honor to the entire staff and students of the institution. He assured that the award would further motivate him to sustain and expand initiatives aimed at transforming the Federal Cooperative College, Eleyele, into a hub of excellence in cooperative and technical education.
The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), the umbrella body of Nigerian polytechnic students, said the award was part of its tradition of identifying and celebrating leaders across the country who have made outstanding contributions to education, leadership, and youth development.
With this award, Dr. AbudulGaniyu joins the league of visionary education leaders being recognized nationally for their service to humanity and commitment to raising future leaders.
