APC Releases Full Timetable for 2026 Osun Governorship Election– Sales of Forms Begin November 12, Primary Holds December 13



The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released its schedule of activities and timetable for the 2026 gubernatorial election in Osun State, setting the tone for political activities ahead of the polls.

According to the timetable signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, His Excellency, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, OFR, the process will commence on Friday, 3rd October 2025, with the Notice of Election to the State Chapter.

An update of the party membership register will follow from Monday, 20th October to Friday, 31st October 2025, allowing only financial members whose dues are up to date to participate in the exercise.

The sale of Nomination, Expression of Interest, and Delegate Forms for governorship aspirants will open on Wednesday, 12th November and close on Monday, 1st December 2025.
Screening of aspirants is scheduled for Wednesday, 3rd to Thursday, 4th December 2025, while the publication of screening results will take place on Friday, 5th December 2025.

The Delegates Congress will be held on Tuesday, 9th December 2025, followed by the Delegate Congress Appeal on Wednesday, 10th December 2025.

The much-anticipated governorship primary election will hold on Saturday, 13th December 2025, while the Primary Election Appeal is slated for Sunday, 14th December 2025.
On the same day, the party will hold a Congress to ratify the result of the governorship primary in line with the 2022 Electoral Act (as amended).

Subsequent activities include the collection of access codes for submission of nomination forms from Monday, 19th January 2026, and submission of nominated candidates to the National Working Committee (NWC) on Thursday, 22nd January 2026.
The final list of candidates will be submitted to the INEC Portal by Wednesday, 11th February 2026.

The APC campaign kickoff is scheduled for Wednesday, 11th March 2026, while submission of names of polling agents to the Electoral Officers across local governments will take place on Tuesday, 23rd June 2026.
The timetable concludes with the Final Day of Campaign/Grand Finale fixed for Tuesday, 6th August 2026.

In terms of form fees, the APC announced that the Expression of Interest Form costs ₦10 million, while the Nomination Form costs ₦40 million, totaling ₦50 million for governorship aspirants.
However, female aspirants and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are to obtain the Expression of Interest Form free of charge, while the Nomination Form remains free.
Youths aged 25 to 40 are entitled to a 50% discount on the Nomination Form.

The delegate form costs ₦5,000, and members eligible to elect delegates must have maintained party financial membership for not less than three months before the delegate congress.

The party directed interested aspirants to obtain their forms from the APC Directorate of Organization, National Headquarters, 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja.
