IBADAN AIRPOT RE-OPENS FOR COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS

After a 10-month closure for major international upgrades, the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, Ibadan has officially reopened for commercial operations, with the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, receiving the first set of arriving passengers on the maiden flight.

‎The passengers, who arrived today, became the first commercial travelers to experience the airport’s newly upgraded facilities, now built to international standards.

‎Speaking at the event, Governor Makinde represented by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi described the inaugural landing as exceptional. 

‎He attributed the successful reopening of the airport to the collaboration between the State Government, the Federal Government, and other critical stakeholders.

‎Some of the excited passengers, who spoke with journalists, described Governor Makinde as an exceptional leader, commending his efforts to build a lasting legacy and strengthen the state’s economy.
