FG INITIATES COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF THE NATIONAL POLICY ON FOOD AND NUTRITION

The National Policy on Food and Nutrition (NPFN) is a multisectoral framework designed to achieve optimal nutritional status for all Nigerians by the year 2025.

Following the expiration of the policy and the identification of several implementation gaps,
the Federal Government has initiated a comprehensive review to guide the next phase, covering the period 2026 to 2035.

In furtherance of this objective, the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning has organised a two-day National Validation Meeting in Abuja, bringing together key stakeholders and relevant partners to deliberate on the revised policy framework.
