OBI BLAMES POLITICIANS FOR NIGERIA'S WOES , PRAISES MAKINDE'S DEVELOPMENTAL ACHIEVEMENTS

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general election and former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, has described politicians as Nigeria’s greatest challenge, calling on citizens to continually pray for the nation’s leaders.
Obi made the statement during a church service at the Cathedral of St. Peter, Aremo, Ibadan, held as part of activities marking the golden jubilee celebration of Oyo State.

He noted that Nigeria is not a poor country but one that is poorly governed, stressing the need for responsible leadership at all levels.

The former governor also commended Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for what he described as outstanding performance and remarkable transformation across the state.
Obi offered prayers for sustained progress in Oyo State and its capital city, Ibadan, while recalling his personal connection to the city, which he described as a historic centre of knowledge and hope.
