“Only a Misguided Person Would Support Another Egbeda Candidate” — PDP Ona-Ara LG Knocks Online Publishers Over Unverified Reports, Reaffirms ‘Ona-Ara Lokan’
The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ona-Ara Local Government, under Chairman Alfa Kehinde Adeyemo, has categorically debunked claims of endorsing any candidate for the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
This statement comes in response to an individual falsely parading himself as having received the endorsement of Ona-Ara stakeholders for his representative aspirations.
The leadership clarified that no such endorsement was given or considered. In a firm declaration, the stakeholders reiterated their unwavering commitment to the principle of "Ona-Ara Lokan" (It's Ona-Ara's Turn).
"How can we support a candidate from Egbeda Local Government after twenty years of their dominance in representing this constituency? Our position is clear and unchanged: it is the turn of Ona-Ara to produce the next Federal Representative," the leaders stated.
Furthermore, the leadership disclosed that their findings indicate the individual in question, Tosin Alabi, is not even a bona fide member of the PDP in Egbeda Local Government.
The party urges the general public and its members to disregard these false claims and remain calm, assuring them that broad consultations are ongoing within the constituency.
"The path is clear. Come 2027, it is unequivocally Ona-Ara's Turn"
The PDP Ona-Ara leadership further warned online publishers and bloggers to always verify information from credible party sources before dissemination, stressing that the spread of unverified or false reports is capable of misleading the public and heating up the political space unnecessarily.
