Primate Ayodele to gift struggling singer Busola Oke N1m — but with a condition
Primate Elijah Ayodele, founder and head of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Oke Afa, Lagos, has extended a lifeline to Busola Oke, the struggling singer popularly known as Eleyele, promising her N1 million in support.
The pledge comes a few days after the singer’s public outcry over her deteriorating circumstances — financial ruin, homelessness, and the crushing weight of sustaining a music career in the entertainment industry.
“How can you eat when there is no food? How can you drive when there is no car? How can you be at peace when there is no peace? How can you fee not alone, when you are alone?” Busola asked.
During a recent service, Primate Ayodele responded to the singer’s plight with a directive he attributes to a higher source.

In a now-trending video, the cleric announced his intention to give Busola N1 million, funds he said can go toward rent or any pressing need she identifies.
But his offer came with a condition that she come to his church for the money on Sunday, after which he would not attend to her again.
The cleric emphasised that his gesture is not about public approval but obedience to divine instruction.
“Busola Eleyele. Come on Sunday, I will give you N1 million to support you. It can be for your house rent or any other thing,” he said.
“If you like, come. If it passes Sunday, I will not attend to you. It is the Lord who instructed me. I am not doing it to impress anybody.
“I am past someone who would be doing something to impress people. Make sure you come on Sunday, and if not, it’s gone. It is God who said I should show mercy on you, and if the Lord instructs me to do more, I will.”
It remains to be seen if the singer visited the church on Sunday.
