OYHA2027: PDP Clears Hon. Oduola Olumide Sunday (ALAYÀKÍ) for Ona-Ara State Constituency



The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, under the leadership of the State Chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, has officially cleared Hon. Oduola Olumide Sunday, popularly known as ALAYÀKÍ, to contest for the Oyo State House of Assembly seat to represent Ona-Ara State Constituency in the forthcoming 2027 general election.

The screening and clearance exercise, which was held in Ibadan on Thursday, May 28, 2026, witnessed the presence of members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

Hon. ALAYÀKÍ, a prominent youth figure and grassroots mobiliser in Oyo State, successfully scaled through the party’s screening process, reaffirming his readiness and commitment to serve the people of Ona-Ara Constituency with dedication, transparency, and impactful representation.

Speaking shortly after the exercise, ALAYÀKÍ expressed appreciation to the leadership of the PDP for conducting a transparent and credible screening process. He also thanked his supporters and loyalists for their unwavering support and confidence in his aspiration.

He reiterated his determination to provide quality representation and facilitate meaningful development that will positively impact the lives of constituents across Ona-Ara, if elected in 2027.

The clearance marks another significant milestone in ALAYÀKÍ’s political journey, as supporters and stakeholders continue to rally behind his aspiration ahead of the forthcoming elections.
