Reasons Behind My Separation From My Wife — Actor Kunle Afod Reveals

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Kunle Afod has opened up about the circumstances surrounding his separation from his wife, Desola Afod, popularly known as Celeb Wife.

The actor, whose marriage hit the rocks in February 2026 after Desola allegedly moved her belongings out of their matrimonial home, spoke about the issues that led to their separation during an interview with Kasnasty Sugar.

Afod attributed the breakdown of their marriage to jealousy and allegations of infidelity from both sides, arguing that women sometimes struggle to tolerate the same behaviour they exhibit.

Apologising to women before addressing the matter, he said: “Separation from my wife? This job is heavy to the extent that we sometimes don’t have time for our home. Did you want to hear? To all the women here, my apologies please. I need to beg you guys first before I talk about my separation”

“Women believe that men che@t but no man can che@t with a tree or wood. Men che@t with women. It’s easier for women to be lesbian than men to be gay. So, if you have a wife who is too close to a female friend, the husband will also suspect her. You are in trouble because they che@t more in that level than having it with the opposite s+x”

“It’s easy for a woman to convince her husband to buy her dildo, she will tell you that she doesn’t want to che@t on you. She would buy up to three dildos.”

He further questioned why some women would use multiple s+x toys but condemn their husbands for doing the same.

“Why is she not satisfied with just one dildo? That can also be referred to as adultery too. The same woman that has the confidence to use dildo won’t take it lightly when she caught her husband using s+x toys,” he added.
